After the general options tab, at complete and send the information with [Finish Install], I obtain:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: serendipity_db_probe() in /usr/share/serendipity/www/include/functions_installer.inc.php on line 732

Install on: Debian Etch - MySQL - Lang Spanish

I don't know how to solve this error.

I need help whit this.

Hi!

Which serendipity version do you try to install?

It looks like a Debian package, because the path structure looks odd. Problemes like these can occur when the database layer file was not properly included.

Sadly I cannot offer Debian package support here, but if you try to install a s9y package frmo www.s9y.org that should work.

In effect, is Debian package, the original idea was to maintain to me aligned with the distribution, since exactly one assumes that this way a consistency between the packages, libraries and so

In order to collaborate with Debian, I will report bug and parallelly I will download the new version from the official site, in agreement with your recommendation.

Hi!

Yes, thanks a lot. I was once in contact with the debian maintainer (Thijs) but I didn't yet have the chance to check out the debian package itself and what modifications it possibly did.

I'd be glad if we can get it sorted out, but sadly already supporting the official s9y package is much work for me so that I can'T check out other distributions easily.

I downloaded the last version of serendipity, I installed it and worked correctly!
With respect to Debian, I informed on bug but I have not had answer some (Not even he appears published). I will try to contact the person in charge.
