Hi,

I probably found another issue in the admin interface of the latest version of the blog engine.

When i click on the Comments link, i get teh following error....
Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in /home/auction/public_html/include/admin/comments.inc.php on line 96
Thanks for looking into this.

Thanks, yes - this bug has been fixed yesterday evening, it should find its way into the snapshot created today :-)

Cool - Thanks again Gravin.

So, with the new updated snapshot, how do I update my installation. Do I just overwrite all the files of just a few files and I will be done.
Also, do I need to upgrade the installation ???

Sorry for bugging you !

Thanks

if you have shell access, you can do as "cvs up", if not then just overwrite files.

Tom - You mean just overwriting the files will do the trick. i need not run the upgrader ?

Thanks

Tom..

I guess, just by overwriting, it did not work for me, when i upgraded from 0.7 ot the latest CVS version. I had to delete the files which were not used or moved to a different folder and then the upgrade worked.

Also, lets say, I am using the CVS snapshot, which is one week old and then,. I am later upgaring it with a latest CVS snapshot which is one month after that...can i do it without any problems ??

Thanks

PurpleCow, our automatic upgrader from Serendipity should take care of removing the files, if the webserver can write to the files. It's though no problems to leave the old files in place, they're just redundant.

All the developers are living from CVS snapshots, so we do our best that upgrading always works. This has been the case at least for the last 1.5 years. :)
