Blank screen

Hello,

I installed Serendipity 1.0 on my site a few months ago. Now I installed it in a different directory, but using the same DB. I followed the docs on your web site. Problem is that the live blog now displays only a white page with "INCLUDE_ERROR". And the new location displays a blank page. How could I troubleshoot this problem please?

Also, is it possible to make the verification code of subscription to this forum a little easier? (I got blocked twice for too many attempts, I wasn't making difference between O, 0, D, etc...)

Thanks in advance!

Hi!

If you get that error, you usually have a wrong path configured for s9y to use. Try to login at your URL using 'serendipity_admin.php' and go to the path configuration and check if they are all right.

That's hard to do - if we make it easier, we get spambots. :-(

Best regards,
Garvin

Thanks Garvin. I tried to access serendipity_admin.php also, but I get the same error message. Any idea?

Hi!

Can you check if a file "serendipity_config_local.inc.php" is existing and readable? This file holds the database access information and is required to operate s9y...

I did some changes, and now I'm able to access the admin area, but the front page is still unaccessible: http://blog.pcbsd.org/

But I noticed something, the admin area loads in a second, while the front pages takes half a minute to load its blank screen. Any idea how I could find the problem?
TIA.

Hi!

If you can describe what changes you might, I might be able to understand. :)

Did you after logging in check your configuration page and check if the paths are all entered properly?

Garvin

Actually I reran the install script over the existing installation. Then I double-checked the admin area, and everything seems ok, the paths also. But the blog shows a blank page :(

Is there a debug mode in s9y?
TIA and have a nice week-end,

Hi!

For a blank frontpage, the debugging should be search in your Apache and PHP error logfiles...

However, when I call your URL I gett the RSS feed displayed. That'S quite strange. Did you check the configuration of your s9y and checked what the Paths and permalinks are set to? Could be there's something wrong.

Garvin
