Hi!
I believe that counting has been changed in Serendipity 1.2 snapshots, can you see if its right there?

Hi!
I've never seen anyone where an update ended with an empty blog, you must have done something not according to our FAQ for how to perform an update.
You could make a temporary copy of your blog and install the update there, and not in your online version.

Hi!
The blog export is only a RSS feed dump! You should do a backup by backing up files and the database using phpMYAdmin or so.

To explain it to you garvin...
I thought i can export a full feed ans import it on my local webserver into the local s9y blog...
and if a made the update and lost entries, i can still re-import from my local copy cia dyn.dns, or will you say thats the wrong way?

Hi!
I thought i can export a full feed ans import it on my local webserver into the local s9y blog...
That would work if you copy the feed export URL to the feed import URL of the other blog.
But it will NOT store extended entry bodies, not fetch images, not fetch authors, not fetch comments, not fetch categories, not fetch media data, not fetch entryproperties, not fetch extra plugins etc.
You will only import the body of the entry, its title and timestamp.
Make a proper backup, copy the full directory to another location, copy the full database tables to a prefix like "serendipity2_*" and then configure the new s9y blog installation to use that prefix.

Garvin
