Wiki Markup

Post by macavenger »

I have recently started using the wiki markup plugin for serendipity on my blog, and I generally like it, especially things like the ability to make lists. However, I do have two questions:

First, is there a page somewhere that tells me what the wiki markup is? I have managed to figure out some of the markup, such as the aforementioned lists, by experimentation and looking over the settings for the plugin, but I would appreciate a page that showed the various things I can do with it. It appears that everywhere I look it is just assumed that you already magically know what the wiki markup is. Which sort of leads me to my second question, which is there a way, either using the wiki plugin directly or else through something else, to insert a linked image into my post? I'm talking specifically about an image that you can click to go to another location, not an image that is linked from another location.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Hi!

Yes: http://wiki.ciaweb.net/yawiki/index.php ... SamplePage

You can usually insert images easily by clicking on the "Media" button from above the entry editing box, which facilitates the use of the serendipity mediadatabase.

HOWEVER this inserts HTML markup, and if you have the wiki markup plugin installed with default setting, all HTML code is converted. There's an option you need to toggle to also allow HTML code, but I'm not sure which that is :)
