In the past I used WordPress to create a blog, but I recently switched to Serendipity because I heared great stories about the ease of this blog package.
So far so good, but now I want to convert my old WordPress theme to the Serendipity style. I've read a short manual about that and I am stuck at the point where the code of the index.php(?) has to be changed.
This is the link to download my orgininal WP theme "Glossyblue Advanced":
http://www.templatesbrowser.com/wordpre ... ed-1-1.zip
It would be great if somebody could help me out altering the code so that the WP theme shows up properly in my new Serendipity blog.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Transfer of WP theme to Serendipity
How comfortable are you with CSS?
Welcome to Serendipity. I also started in WP - until I had to upgrade to a newer version. Too many places to keep track of when you use custom templates.
The WP template you want to use is pretty straightforward CSS. Its done very well by a competent designer - color choice, icons, proportion. Its all about details.
Converting templates can be quite a bit of work. Carl has been quite prolific, but I doubt he does it in one afternoon.
Luckily Serendipity bends easily with a just CSS changes. Study the CSS from that template and one of the similar s9y templates. Customize from there. That may be enough.
When you get close and and your site is running, there are plenty of very helpful coders here that can help you with the Smarty templates and such. (I am not one of them)
Good Luck
