I want to have same option,creating blog with subdomain.Shared installation instructions works only if admin manualy add setting to apache server and i want that automatic as on supersized.org.Any idea?

Also camazonblogs.com is good example of shared installation.

supersized.org uses a custom script to achieve the effect. Since it's different for every server (and his copyrighted work, besides), we can't include it with Serendipity.

I believe there's some discussion of what the script would need to do on the homepage.
