Request: Plugin for mediawiki/dictionary-search-option

Hello world!
Does anyone have some spare time and would like to do a favour to the great S9Y-Community?
What I am thinking about is a plugin that adds a small search form/bar to the sidebar and looks up every entered word in a mediwiki installation (some kind of dictionary or encyclopaedia). The results should be shown in a popup windows or within the content area. Another nice option would be a top down list showing all the keywords in the dbase.
To avoid troubles with interwiki-links and other things an easier solution would be a drop-down-list-field which shows all predefined keywords. If a keyword is choosen, the definition is displayed in the context area. Keywords and definitions are saved in the regular sql-dbase...
*Additional note*
There are some free php-based dictionaries on sourceforge - maybe we can link a search bar with one of its databases.
Kind regards
Helge
