I am a complete n00b at s9y and PHP. I want to have a link back to my homepage in the sidebar (since my blog is in a sub-directory). Can you please help me? I, myself don't know anything about PHP so if you provide the code, it would be very nice.

Go to the admin panel ->configure plugins -> html nugget. Then just drop in the html and save.
