proxy?

Hi,

the disabled fgets() trouble could be bypassed using another server in our computacenter. This installation works via https-only, the initial steps have been finished successfully.

What happens under a technical view normally while clicking "Manage Styles" in the admin interface and clicking "Click here to install a new sidebar / event plugin"? ok, normally it works fine with other servers, but here behind a firewall and proxy and using https I see only a sandglas-pointer in my browser!

Nothing happens in apaches error-log. Is it a proxy-problem?

What else can I do?

Thx, regards, Juergen

Hi!

Did you disable the Spartacus plugin? This might be responsible, as it does a lot of fetching over the web, which on a secured server will not work.

Best regards,
Garvin

Right, after disabling Spartacus it works. But now I can't install any plugins, it means I can't see any way. Without Spartacus no Freetag-Plugin?

Is it possible and should it works by doing a copy of plugin-directories from another installation manually?

Hi!

You can download plugins manually from http://spartacus.s9y.org/ - the spartacus plugin is no requirement to install plugins. It just allows to fetch plugins over the web, but this will not work with your provider/host configuration as it seems that HTTP access over port 80 is firewalled.

Best regards,
Garvin

Ok, thx!

What's the best way to move my entries, categories, tags, comments, ... from the old blog s9y 1.1beta5 to the new blog 1.1 stable? Working with a SQL dump (from selected tables) need assistance from my admin, I havent access.

Hi!

Upgrading is very easy, it's outlined in the FAQ on www.s9y.org. Basically - just unpack the new release to your server, go to your admin panel and click "update". Then you're done.

Garvin

Sorry for my denglish, I don't want to do an update! I want to move my content from a s9y blog hosting by an other provider to the tricky server here in our computacenter.

Should I do it via database dump?

Hi!

First you should move the current content to the new blog (according to the FAQ - using a DB dump, yes).

Once it runs there, you can perform the upgrade from 1.1-beta5 to 1.1!
