this might be a silly question!

i've uploaded serendipity onto my server and wondering if its possible to run 2 blogs from the same website.

Multiple installations from a single installation is called "shared installation", and is detailed at http://s9y.org/41.html. Not for the beginner, though.

We generally find that the requirement for multiple blogs can be satisfied with multiple categories and user permissions. If you tell us what you require, we can direct you more specifically.
