Duplicate Plugins being Installed

Hi there,
I just upgraded from 0.9.1 to 1.1.6beta - everything is working really well - except when I go to install a plugin - it installs two of them. Any thoughts how to fix it?

Not exactly a solution, but what happens if you uninstall the spare one? Does it uninstall both of them also? Also possibly important to know: are you using spartacus for plugin installation?

I am using Spartacus - and I have tried reinstalling it.
For some plugins I can just remove the duplicate and everything works fine - but some flip out as I think when you remove one of them - it also removes things necessary for the other to work.
I could live with it if it was just necessary to remove the duplicate but I am not so lucky

By any chance, are two instances of SPARTACUS installed?

I checked that also - nope - just one

Hi!
What's the complete list of installed event plugins of your installation? Maybe give us a dump of your serendipity_plugins DB table?
I only heard of this problem when spartacus was installed twice...
