problems with wysiwyg editor

Hi,

I have very peculiar problems with wysiwyg editor.

When i drag the B (Bold) button and drop it on entry body area, the B label gets added to entry body. same the case with many buttons like italicised, underline, etc.
the same thing is happening when i drag and drop on extended body.

Is this a bug in editor itself or is it the problem faced only by me.

Also this is happening only in IE and not in Mozilla browser.

Pls, help me .
thanks.
manoj.

Hi!

The buttons are not meant to be dragged! :-)

In your entry area, highlight the text you want to have bold by marking it with your mouse. Then press once on the "B" button. That's all you need to do. :-)

Best regards,
Garvin

Hi Garvin,

I agree that the buttons are meant to be dragged

But my concern is that if this problem is faced by me only or it is the bug with the editor?

Please let me know your view.

Thanks,
Manoj

Hi!

But I disagree that buttons are meant to be dragged. The majority of people CLICK on buttons, not DRAG.

So it's no bug - it's a misunderstanding by you. :-)

Best regards,
Garvin

Hi Garvin,

Oops!! sorry....
i mean the same that buttons are not for dragging but they are for clicking.

But what if buttons are getting dragged?
is it an bug?

Thanks,
Manoj

Hi!

If they get dragged this more sounds like a bug of your Operating System. When a click executes a drag it seems that either your mouse is damaged, or the mouse driver reports a drag instead of a click?

I doubt that this is related to the WYSIWYG editor...never heard of that problem!

Garvin
