Merry Christmas everyone!

ceejay and myself have put together a fairly clean and uncomplicated template for users who want to add a Christmas message. The header image is supplied with several languages, which v1.1 users can automatically select from within the template config screen. The sidebar can also be flipped to the left or right of the content.

I'm no big X-Mas person, but it is really cute, and the changing 'greeter' is a nice feature (I feel honored to be sort of 'engraved' in this

)

However, some quick suggestions? I'd use a darker blue or even a green for the entry dates and sidebar headlines. I'm not really visually handicapped (although I wear glasses), but those are really hard to read in my opinion. I think they could also use some margin-bottom. Oh, and is 'Enter the year and business name' supposed to be displayed in the entry footer? Doesn't work in my test blog (1.1-beta5, I think), it still says '2006 Your Business Name. Design by carl, artwork by ceejay' after changing it in the theme options.

Quick as a flash it is done. The zipfile has been updated, thanks for the critique.

I understand that the 25th is still a few weeks away, but advent starts on the 3rd of December, and the Christmas season doesn't end until epiphany, which is the 6th January, and then immediately followed by the baptism of Christ on the 7th. So this template has been released for any person who wants to change the look of their blog for the duration of the season.

Also, many people in Europe actually celebrate St Nicholas' day on the fifth and exchange gifts on that day so... I'd like a ferrari or a penthouse suite in Berlin.

Yep, but now you screwed something up with the lang_* files. I don't see the German Umlaute (ö,ä,ü), so this should be a character encoding problem.

Actually, we make one of our boots nice and shiny, and put it out for ol' Saint Nicky to fill it with gifts. If you have a boot large enough to put a Ferrari in it, hand it over

stupid me, I keep forgetting to create a utf-8 folder and put the lang file in there as well with the right encoding. I'm sorry, I'll get this done today.
