I have this problem when i go in my blog INCLUDE_ERROR

I have read all the post and I have change from 777 to 644 and 776 774 but I got this error msg.

Cannot write to directory /home/xiaoxue/public_html/blog/templates_c. Please check the permissions.

but no matter how I change I got the same error. ;/


can someone advise me pls!

Hi!

An INCLUDE_ERROR means that your serendipity_Config_local.inc.php file is not readable for the webserver.

What exactly are the permissions of that file?

The Write-Error means you must make your templates_c writabel to your webserver user.

Change both to 0777 and it should work. Make sure your change is carried thorugh! Maybe your FTP tool reports errors so that you can'T change the file? Then you might need t ocontact your hoster. If you accidentaly cut yourself off all permissions you cannot restore the permissions on your own.

hi thanks for reply I have change them to 777 do i need to make anymore change like change back the code or something?

I'm not sure I understand...if you changed the files to 777 and everything works, then it should be allright.
