imagemagick and pdf-thumbnail

hello,
I tried the use of imagemagick with pdf-files. There is a problem:
I upload foo.pdf.
s9y/imagemagick makes foo.serendipityThumb.pdf wich is empty. And it makes foo.serendipityThumb.pdf.png whth the real thuimbnail.
But the media-library wants to show as the thumbnail the foo.serendipityThumb.pdf!
And by the way: Why did imagemagick makes the LAST page of the pdf to the thumbnail, would not be the first one better?

Hi!
Which Event-Plugins do you have installed, wihch PHP version are you using?
And by the way: Why did imagemagick makes the LAST page of the pdf to the thumbnail, would not be the first one better?
That might depend on the imagemagick version. The versions I know index the first page.
Best regards,
Garvin

I delete every event-plugin (but not the backup-event

), same result: wrong link in the media library, empty foo.serendipityThumb.pdf and a foo.serendipityThumb.pdf.png with the last page.
php 5.2.0
That might depend on the imagemagick version. The versions I know index the first page.
Version: ImageMagick 6.2.9 08/26/06 Q16

one of the snapshots - not the latest one but not very old. Can I see the snapshot-version anywhere?
Do you havethe "on the fly" synchronization feature enabled?
Do you mean "Automagische Synchronisation der Mediendatenbank"? Yes.

Hi!
Okay, the snapshot helps me enough. Does the problem go away when disabling the on-the-fly synchronization for new PDFs?
I'll try to have a look at it.

Garvin

I disabled it (for all - there is no option to do it for pdf only):
no difference:
sucsessfull uploaded, "vorschau erzeugt" and the wrong link/file-name
btw, why should this make any difference? the on-the-fly is for recocnicing changings by ftp, isn't it?
btw2: no matter what config for that option: after uploading a pdf by ftp (and after a manual thumbnail-making) there is only the pdf-smbol-logo and no (broken) image of the pdf!?

Hi!
I just had a guess that maybe the automatic conversion was responsible for that .serendipityThumb.pdf file.
I'll check that thing somewohen the next day, thank you!
