You need to put the favicon at the top of your Website. If your host is
http://example.com/serendipity/ your favicon needs to be at
http://example.com/favicon.ico
If you have it in a subdirectory you need a meta tag for the location of the icon in your HTML code. Don't remember which one, you need to google that up

That's what i meant, it was in my domain-root. It was the browser that messed the thing up, something with the cache maybe. Now at home it works like expected, just delete the post.
BTW your serendipity thing is the best i came across. Only thing is it's crappy name. Because of this i almost ignored it completely.
The administration is very intuitive the installation is boaring simple and i like it's clean design. Very well done, keep it going.
Thank you and best from Cologne

Hi Wolfgang!
Okay, great the problem is solved. And thanks very much for your praise, we enjoy hearing that.
Of course we ourselves do like the Name itself - its meaning is definitely a cool thing - see
http://www.s9y.org/11.html for an explanation of our name
Best regards from Cologne as well,
Garvin.

Hi, I've got a problem with the favicon.ico
The thing is, I would like my root favicon to be different from the favicons of my pictures gallery, my blog and some other pages.
I've found this tag :
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="
http://www.fosenbauer.com/jrprod/jrprodico.ico" />
<link rel="icon" href="
http://www.fosenbauer.com/jrprod/jrprodico.ico" />
which works great in my
www.fosenbauer.com/jrprod page, but I don't know where to place it within the s9y code...
Thanks,
Jr Prod
PS : the blog address is

Put it either in a Head nugget plugin or in your template's index.tpl file.
