Is it possible to change the size i.e. width of the images shown in the sidebar? I'm using the media library as a source, tried to alter media_sidebar.php but did not make it...

I'm not seeing any pictures on your page, but changing the width should be an available option in the configuration options for the plugin. I don't know what it would be titled in other languages, but in english it would be titled "Image width".
