Upgrading Plugins via Spartacus

I haven't been able to locate anything regarding plugin updates and Spartacus, so I'm asking here.
Is Spartacus capable of upgrading plugins, or is that a manual process? Is there any sort of notification system in place so I know when a specific plugin has been updated?
Thanks,

There isn't any form of notification process, but you can upgrade plugins via Spartacus.
In 1.0x you can click on the "Click here to install a new event plugin" and "Click here to install a new sidebar plugin" links to pull up the list of plugins from Spartacus. A plugin that is installed and has a new version available will have a red tinged icon next to it (instead of the usual download/install icon).
The process has been refined in 1.1, where you can click on a link titled "Check for new event plugins" or "Check for new sidebar plugins" at the top of the "Configure Plugins" page.
Note, developers try to make sure the most recent version of a plugin in Spatacus is working, but there are sometimes problems. The best way to follow plugin development is probably to watch the forums to see what plugins people are talking about.

Take the plunge, go on do it, just do it
You won't regret updating, Garvin and the development team have done an amazing job on 1.1

What are your Live Writer settings? I've used it in the past without any (major) problems.
I used Custom (Moveable Type API)... I don't believe I was able to upload images within a post, but I was able to do most everything else...
(And I'll take a look at the image thing now to see if it is something that is easy to fix.)

Wow, the image upload problem was just Live Writer wanting a folder called "WindowsLiveWriter" under the uploads folder that was writable (by the webserver). Once I added that the image upload worked fine.

Erhm.. I was using Movable Type.. although, I just looked and its set to Wordpress ... wtf? I didnt change the settings so im not sure how that changed.. I'll just switch it back and im sure everything will work fine again.. I'll have to check there first next time..
Why is it that MS software (

) continues to modify itself without interaction? Dammit, if something changes, I wanna know about it! *sigh*
