It would be very nice if someone could update the adsense module to include inputting the variables for text, background, URL colors etc. It is the easiest I have used to date except for this one issue. I have a website and would like to blend the colors as this is shown to enhance the CTR.

Somebody has already tried this, BUT it is against the TOC's from Google and their legal team reserve the right to take action against the developer of the plugin, and whoever hosts the plugin (like the Serendipity developers if its hosted on Spartacus).

It's a shame that this is the case but there you go, no adsense publisher may alter the Google code in any way, and the problem is that Google reserve the right to alter their code at their discretion so if a plugin like this was freely available and then Google changed their code you could have your adsense account suspended and lose all your commission.

Google's response to these queries is that they provide a secure area on the Adsense website so that publishers can make these sorts of changes.

Carl, this is duplicate to e-mail I sent on the side. I got back in to Forums.

The Adsense tool allows you to customize the appearance of the ad. You can set the background color, text color, link color etc.. Then the Google adgenerator generates the code for all these properties. I am only taking about updating the plugin to accommodate the entry of these properties as well as the channel and the ad, etc.
