Hemingway or Costa Theme don't work properly?

Post by Col. Kurtz »

Ok I wanna try some of the newer, improved themes such as Hemingway of Costas Family theme.

I've installed the latest nightly and an database from an installation I use currently.

I got everything running on the new installation except the new themes.

But I've tried these with the 1.1 beta5 and they worked..

So either I've done something with the installation (which is possible) or the templates dont work with the nightly.. or ?

its the Hemingway theme, but it's fucked up and the changes I make in the backend dont get saved.

Hi!

I changed the topic of your posting to something more meaningful than "problem" and hope that maybe costa or carl can say something about it. :)

Hi guys, I haven't actually finalised the Hemingway template yet, I was waiting until Garvin had moved ver 1.1 to relase candidate stage because the column changer and other bits and pieces were still being developed. So at the moment Hemingway is still a test template. I know this is frustrating and I can only apologise to people who want to use the more innovative templates .

Marc, I'll take a look at your site later today, but if you email me the problems you've been having, I've just downloaded the latest nightly, maybe we can figure it out.

Don't worry carl, and you don't have to apologize at all! It's great that you bring the templates to a new level. Thanks a lot!

And I have to clarify something: I had a new install with the 1.1 Beta and Hemmingway worked. (at least I saw no error) Now I have the latest nightly with an database import and it's fucked..so it might be the nightly, or maybe I've fucked with the DB (which is possible!). Or maybe it's just some other stupid thing.
