I just downloaded and installed but I'm off a day when posting, i'm in eastern standard time and it shows a day ahead.
can anyone help

You can set your options in your Admin Menu under Configurations -> General Appearance and Options -> Server Configuration.

I'm on Central time but my webserver is 2 hours behind me. All I did was enter 2 and now the time is correct. Your server configuration should show what time your server is on, so try entering a number (may have to even set it -4 (or however many hours your server is ahead).
