quicksearch broken?

Hi, I am using the latest release of s9y and though everything seems perfect, the quicksearch is not functional somehow. Whatever I am searching for, it does not yield any hits. The resultpage shows:

Your search for scratch returned 1 results:
No entries to print.

Any ideas? Maybe I have to setup an indexer or something?
