Event Plugins Permissions Change Not Working

Under Plugin Configuration, when I change the permissions for an EVENT plugin from "All Authors" to "Author Name" and click save, it doesn't save the permissions. When I do the same change with a SIDEBAR plugin, it works just fine.
Is there a database update that is malformed?
Thanks,

All that does -- if I'm reading the code correctly -- is prohibit other users from making changes to the plugin's configuration. It doesn't stop it from working for other users or anything.
Is that how it's not working? I'm sorry, I'm a little unclear.

There are some plugins (Polls, TaskList, LinkList Etc...) that add a custom link in the Admin Pages left hand menu that allow users to create/edit the data used by those plugins. (Add new poll etc...)
I was under the impression that if a "username" was selected and saved in the configure plugins permissions section, then Other users would be unable to view those links when they were logged in.
However, with this bug, for EVENT plugins, "All Authors" is the only option since the saving does not update the permission drop down.
Thanks,

OK, got it. Thanks for the clarification!
I'll try to look into this. If Garvin gets back early, he's certainly welcome to look at it himself (hint, hint).
