Wishes for my perfect theme.

Hello to all designers ;)

Some days ago i've mailed with carl about smoe ideas for a perfect theme. I have now written down my wishes with some details and maybe there is someone around, who is able to create a theme that matches all my wishes ;) I would pay for it, if this would speed up the new theme...

1. Two sidebars with a fixed size of ~180px and a flexible width for the content in the middle. It must work with 800x600 (180px / ~420px / 180px) and it shall use a maximum of 180px / ~920px / 180px, even on a 1600x1280 resolution. Just the middle column shall stretch. (I don't know if this is possible.)

2. I want the theme to be able to handle multilingual entries for the navbar. I want to be able to show german visitors a text "Über mich" that links to another page then the english version of 'Über mich' - "About", that links to an english version of a page. (I also don't know if this is possible, but garvin says it should be, but i don't understand how.)

3. I want a transparent part in the header, like ceejay01 has it. Maybe more then the small picture, just a transparent part. (I know, THIS is possible)

4. The NAVBAR shall be below the header and horizontal with about 5-6 Links (remember: multilingual somehow) AND a small SEARCH input field, just like bex02 has it.

5. Maybe the sidebars can look like the translucy theme or maybe sharp boxes and unsharp background.

6. I would like to have the entries sorted by date, like Bazooka does it (only 1 bar with 15th august, even if 2 articles were posted on 15th august).

7. The Calendar should look like the bex02 calendar, with a box around the current day.

8. The content below an entry shall look like the ones here. (A Table)

9. Own comments to articles shall be highlighted.

Please don't hate me for all those wishes. Unfortunately i'm not an expert dealing with all those html stuff. I just wait for the "perfect" theme to pimp my private page and maybe someone around like my ideas and is able to code this. I'm not :(

Best regards, Harald

#1 can be accomplished with a Jello Mold layout.

All the rest seem quite possible, just a matter of appearance. With the exception of the multilingual stuff. If Garvin says it'll work, though...

I wanted to know the same thing, and found a jello mold layout generator which I think might be what Jude is talking about, and definitely would do what you want.

The http://www.positioniseverything.net site also has tutorials and articles, including the Jello Mold layout and what they call "Jello Mold PIEfecta", which gives equal-height columns. I tried to make a template based on that, once. It was too hairy for me, then.

Maybe if I get some extra time (yeah, right).
