Hi!

Why not just move the files there in your main root directory and proceed as described in the FAQ on www.s9y.org on how to move an installation?

Serendipity can operate in the root directory of your domain, if the permissions are all set.

Best regards,
Garvin

the problem might be that the webdoc root on some shared hostings can't be CHMODed to 777...

Code: Select all

Permissions
/www/htdocs/z003b2at//	Not writable
I've got that problem - is it impossible for me to install to root or is there a workaround?

Hi!

Just like I wrote :) Install s9y into a subdirectory, and then move it to the root as described in the FAQ on www.s9y.org :)

Best regards,
Garvin
