I'd like to prepare a Mac OS X application, which should simplify the posting process. Basically, the idea is this:

- Maintain all articles in an offline DB-based OS X application
- From time to time, upload your offline stuff to the online 29y site

Do we have an official API for this task? Or do I need to prepare new stuff?

That's what the metaWeblog or MT XML-RPC API is for. Serendipity supports this through the XML-RPC posting plugin.
