Ooh I was also hoping someone would port this. It's a nifty theme.

wow, what a cool template. That would be a real challenge to port and still keep the integrity of the original theme. A quick look at the download in my wordpress install and I can see that I'm going to need to get my head around the sIFR module used to dynamically generate the entry title and comment titles. Some of the other cool stuff could be done with smarty but I reckon its not going to be a quick port.
The challenge looks exciting, but how many people would really want this template, and is anyone else interested in having a go?

I had some problems getting this wordpress template to work in my test install, the titles wouldn't convert to flash like they were supposed to. If anyone else tries the WP template, it works as standard when wordpress is installed in the root folder of the server, but not is you install wordpress in a child folder, this is becasue the paths in the js files (init.js) are hard-coded.
This means that the serendipity port would possibly need some instructions about changing paths for some users.
Ok now that it is working, I'm going to start work on porting it. I don't have a lot of time for this project so if anyone else wants a go, please don't let my interest stop you.

How do you think about this cool theme:

Is it easier to port? I like it very well, but don“t want to use Wordpress...

hmm, it probably doesn't make much difference which is easier to port, but I am really limited by time, and at the moment I'm working on the Hemingway port for Garvin and fault-finding on the css only version of default template. Also, I would really love to see other users step up and give this a go. I'd be happy to answer any templating questions that came up, otherwise it will probably be several weeks until I can look at these two templates. Sorry about this, its just that the Hemingway port is too interesting and really throws away all the conventions.
