Suggestion for usergallery

I'm using the plugin to let users see the pictures in my media library, and it works fine..

BUT would it be possible to add a comment to a picture in the media library, which then could be used as a comment to show with the pictures everywhere.. but for my needs especially in the gallery plugin.. Perhaps even let users rotate pictures like when u enter the media library from the admin panel.

Thanx for a great system btw :-)

If I understand you correctly, most of what you are asking for is close to implemented. (Except the request to let users rotate images. This is probably not very feasible, since the image rotation is pretty processor intensive and would require temporary files to be created on the fly.)

The Serendipity version 1.1 branch (in CVS, available as nightly builds, as far as I know) currently allows extended information to be added for images in the media library (including short and long comments).

The usergallery plugin has not been updated to support this yet. Unfortunately, I've been really busy the last three months, so I haven't gotten around to updating the plugin to support 1.1. In fact, the current version of usergallery has at least one other problem I have identified when used with 1.1.

So, for now, I think I will have to ask you to wait a little bit. I'm not sure what the release date for 1.1 is, but I will make every effort to get the usergallery plugin to work with the new features it offers before it is released.

Thank your for the good answer!

It sounds great that 1.1 seems to have this extra :-) and if the usergallery can just show those extended info, rotate is not a big deal!

Hopefully it's ready before 1/9 where i need the gallery for holiday pictures :-)
