If you disable Pop-ups in the Administraition >> configuration area should not all setting that say use a pop-up window throughout the rest of the system be hidden?
For instance when you insert media into a post?

No, because that system would not work without popups. The s9y backend interface has some places where JS is required for functionality.

Without a popup, you would have no way to insert an image into an existing window, because no connection can be created without it.
