Is their a way to see a Visitor Count to your blog? Perhaps displayed in the Statistics section of the backend?

There are a event statistics plugin to start statistics count and also a sidbar plugin to show selected statistics on mainpage.

The statistics event plugin can be configured to enable a visitor counter, yes!
