Cannot inherit from undefined class serendipity_event

Hi

I have tried to find a reference to this but can't seem to match it. In trying to figure out why the spartacus plugin isn't working I have realised that I have a problem with a number of plugins. If I use the URL

http://www.crayston.co.uk/serendipity/p ... rtacus.php

I get the message:

Fatal error: Class serendipity_event_spartacus: Cannot inherit from undefined class serendipity_event in /home/content/c/r/a/crayston/html/serendipity/plugins/serendipity_event_spartacus/serendipity_event_spartacus.php on line 19

I don't know php but line 19 is an inherit statement.

Hi!
Plugins are not meant to be called via HTTP!

You use/configure plugins by just going to your Serendipity Admin Interface, and configuring them there.

Once spartacus is listed in that panel, the plugins that it offers will be automatically put into the list of available plugins to install from.

Best regards,
Garvin

I didn't want to make it too complicated at first but I guess we're on the next step now then. In the configure plugins page I get the following list that appears to me to be an error:

Hi!

It seems your server contains those dreaded ".vti" directories. You need to delete those, Serendipity will parse through them and find duplicate files else. :-)

Best regards,
Garvin

Hi Garvin

Well that was loads of fun deleting those directories! Thank you so much for that it works now!!

Can you tell me what they are why I had them? Will they come back?

Regards
Gavin

Hi Gavin!

Great to hear that! :) BTW, also great to finally see someone here on that forums which names sounds vaguely familiar ;)

Those directories can be created by Microsoft IIS services, or by Microsoft Frontpage!

Best regards,
Garvin
