I try to enable the XML-RPC plugin, but when I try to do it, I get a 403 error page.

This one:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /serendipity_admin.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any clue?

Hi!

IT seems your providers has mod_security enabled and blocks any webpage with "xmlrpc" string in it. Takl to your system provider about this, please.
