Hello,

I want my blog to be very simple, without comments, trackbacks and the calendar for example.
Can these features be disabled somewhere?

Wouldn't it make sense to convert them to plugins that can be unloaded if not needed?

Am I completly wrong and should use another blog software? If yes, which one?

You can disable the calendar by just removing it from the sidebar. It is a plugin, since you already pointed out.

Comments/Tracbacks will be easily removable in our next release with smarty templating. Until then you'd have to comment out a few lines in our files. See serendipity_functions.inc.php, the function serendipity_printEntries().

If all that counts for you is a very very simple blog without many features, I think b2 is suitable for that; but you'd need to deactivate comments there as well. Thinking about it, if you disable comments, what you want is not a blog, but a news-script.
