So after putn' me mind to it. I scraped the whole bunch of mutianous file on me box, and installed a whole new crew. Now all of this happens after the me tell me, capt, I cant write to the plugin file, give us the key to the plugins and everything will be ok, So I does, and then they make off with all me booty.

However, me sidebar plugins, stuck by my side, good lots those sidebars.

Hi!

Too hard to follow your text as a non-native Pirate.

The PEAR error you get is because your server is firewalled from outgoing HTTP connections. Please ask your server admin if he enabled any firewalling. With that you can't get the Spartacus plugin to fetch plugins over the web, and you'd need to download them manually.

Best regards,
Garvin

Hi!

Serendipity thinks it is installed if you have the "serendipity_config_local.inc.php" file in your blog directory. This holds the DB credentials to connect to your Database.

If you delete this file, Serendipity will present you the installation possibility again. HOWEVER if it still finds that the serendipity DB tables are in place, it will not re-create any DB tables.

So to completely reinstall s9y, you need to delete the mentioned file AND all the DB Tables from Serendipity.

Does that help any further? :)

Regards,
Garvin

Once that serendipity_config_local.inc.php was deleted and reinstalled it went.

Speaking of pegs, better go find me leg....
