URLs to approve/delete comments in comments email don't work

For a certain post, I have comment moderation on.

When I get the email, it has links to approve/delete and view the comment - but they don't show the newly posted comment because it is moderated, and not yet approved. Approve/Delete actions don't work.

I am running serendipity 0.9.1

Here is an example of the URL for delete:
Delete comment -- http://www.mydomain.com/news/index.php? ... mment.html

Is this something that is fixed in the new 1.0 beta? Um... and how "beta" is it if so?

Note: I notice there is a configuration option under "Permalinks" for "Path to delete comments" - it currently is "delete" - do I need to change this to something else?

Hi!

Those links only work if you are logged in to serendipit yin your browser before you click on the link. This will automatically happen if you have the "Remember me" login feature enabled.

Without being authenticated, everyone could moderate your comments, which you surely don't want. ;)

Best regards,
Garvin

I thought I tried that...

Hmmm... Deleting/Approve links do seem to work with auto-login enabled.

I thought I tried logging in first before.. but obviously I didn't try all the links that way.

The "view" link doesn't quite work before the comment is approved, even with being logged in - but I don't feel this is a major problem - since the comment text is included in the email anyway.

Thanks for your help and sorry about the false alarm.

It'd be great if I could be prompted / asked to log in to approve/delete comments - but perhaps I ask to much.

This would definitely fall under the "feature request" category - not really a bug - but it would be nice though!

Thanks again for all you do.

Hi!

No, that is not asked too much! It is a good suggestion, however it would take a few redirections involved, so it might take us some time to implement this in a future release.

Best regards,
Garvin
