Problem - Error when saving a post

I am having a problem with my serendipity install. Whenever I save a post, it just hangs for a while, and then I get a message asking me if I want to open serendipity_admin.php as if I was trying to save the file.

I just upgraded to 1.0 beta 3 because I thought that might help, but it didn't.

I am running php 4.3.11, and I can't upgrade that.

Previously, this install was working fine, then I upgraded from .9 to 1.0 Beta 2, and I had no problems, then this problem started happening.

I have tried this in both Firefox and IE as well.

One thing that I have noticed is that if I edit the entry when it is already created, then I have no problem when I click save - the message comes up saving entry, and then it saves it perfectly.

Any help would be greatly appriciated!

It might be linked to the multiple posting problem that I had. In that case, the solution was to uncheck the box that tells Serendipity to ping ping-o-matic.
