Quick Question..

Post by nick »

will there be an ajax support for serendipity ?

I've checked out my friend's blog, it's awesome..
It is a self build blog tho'
you can check it out here : http://arazia.wacana.net
it's in Indonesian language .. :)

Just click any link on top right, and see it happen..
Of course you have to enable javascript,
if you use firefox's noscript plugin :)

An ajax frontend can be built easily as a stand-alone template. All the JS can be done independently from Serendipity.

AJAX support for the backend is currently not planned by our developers. We strife for optimal usability of Serendipity also on non-JS browsers. If anyone wants to implement AJAX for the backend, of course we can willingly include it! Thanks to our plugin API it would be easy to make AJAX optional.

Some parts, like our livesearch on the frontend is already AJAX-based, BTW. For 1.5 years already, when Ajax did not yet become the buzzword it is today ;)

Best regards,
Garvin
