Disallow Archives?

I am interested in disallowing some of the posts from being crawled. I am offering some older articles to users to puruse if they wish to but they are already being crawled by the spiders and ranking well.

I don't want to create duplicate content. Can I get into the actual meta tags of a post?

Thanks!

Hm, this could get a bit complicated. You can edit the index.tpl template to edit the place where meta tags are emitted.

Then you can use the plugin "Extended Options for Entries" to insert custom fields into your specific entries.

Then follow my instructions on the last page of http://www.s9y.org/forums/viewtopic.php ... eta+custom.

Dont see "Extended Options for Entries" under "confiure plugins" in the admin suite. Is it somewhere else?

I should make it clear that I am a newbie and not really much of a programmer. My web host had this application as an extra and I downloaded it.

It is great but I have the SEO issues.

Which serendipity version do you have?

The event plugin is called "Extended properties for entries".
