Imagemagic

When installing Serendipity, the checkout page said Imagemagic is missing but I did the simple install anyway and it installed fine.

Question: what/where is Imagemagic and will I need it?

Hi Carl

You don't need imagemagick so long as the GD library is installed on your server - which I guess yours has as your installation went fine. You can get info about imagemagick here at http://www.imagemagick.org/

Hi d_cee,
As I recall, this server had GD when I installed Gallery2.

By the way, this Serendipity system is very nice. I especially like the image uploading and the choices it gives like the image/text alignment. It runs rings around other sytems.

And the choice of templates is outstanding as I was looking for good, full size templates and Serendipity has many of them.
