Updating Plugins?

How do i update plugin's? cause ive gotten word to update some of them and i do. but when i go back to the main Configure Plugin page it still shows the outdated version
If a plugin has an update available this should be indicated by a red icon in your plugin screen. However, the repositories can take up to 24 hours to update and so it might not showup yet. If this is the case you'll need to download the plugin from sourceforge or berlios depending on which plugin you're looking for. Here are the addresses. Hope that helps,

it would be helpful with a little message saying...if installing an update please allow 24 hours for it to take effect
