'
Be Nice' is now available to download. Even though this might look like a boys theme, it actually comes with all the photoshop source files so customising the colors should be easy.
BTW, this is another Wordpress port, but I thought a few of the Serendipity users might be interested in it anyway.
Garvin, is there any chance we can think about how to edit navbar links in themes directly from the admin suite instead of users having to open the index.tpl file to edit them. I've noticed quite a few users leaving the null links in place probably because they don't know how to edit the html. Before anyone rushes to create a plugin, I think this needs to be something that gets added to the core code so that users select a theme then edit their links before theme is made visible.

Another quality theme Carl - great stuff!
And, as you say, easy to change the banner image if you're that way inclined. Perhaps you should do a 'Beefcake' variation for balance.
There's a really beatiful WP theme that was my inspiration for 'Joshua Tree'. I've been meaning to ask if you'd be interested in converting it. It's named 'slatystain' and I think it would be a great addition to Serendipity. It's fantastically documented here at
contact-sheet.de with lot's of interesting features which may or may not work on Serendipity.
see what you think - and well done with 'be nice'

thanks guys, and Dave, I love slatystain, but it looks like we'd have to create sidebar header images for every possible sidebar that exists at present unless I could get Rob to help me with dynamic image generation like he's done on his own site. I'll email him and see what we can come up with.

Hi Carl
I hope Rob helps
I think Linus in the showcase forum was mentioning doing a plug in? Maybe he's worth a mail too

Carl,
definitely that admin/theme thing needs addressing in Serendipity 1.1! I'll see about that once I have time for that!

Hi Rob, sorry I didn't email you, I had grand plans of doing so and then out of the blue I got Andreas' email and thought the publicity was too good to turn down.
I love the way you generate your entry titles, and something like that for the slatystain sidebar titles would be awesome. I haven't tried it yet so don't know what font they're using, but if we did this the code to generate the image would have to template based not plugin based, and in addition we would need to make sure that once an image was created that it isn't recreated with every page display (find some way of caching the image). Would it be possible to put your gd/imagemagick code into config.inc.php for a theme? Or would we have to create a specific plugin? If we need a plugin then maybe this type of theme would cause problems for some users.
