plugin e-mail to a friend - show link right on article

i love the plug-in, i'd just like to change it in a way that this option is visible next to the link for "comments".
which files do i have to open and change?
as much as i like to experiment- i rather have so guidance.

I don'T know that plugin really well, but I think it is harder to do. You would have to edit the plugin .php file to edit the placement of it.
But maybe you can just edit your entries.tpl file, search for the place where "Comments(0) | Trackbacks(0)" is emitted, and you could a link like "<a href="{$entry.link}#mailtoafriend">...</a>" (the #mailtoafriend is not the actual link name, I don't know it by heart...)?

i think with that street-map i shall try it.
i like the way you are always preecise about filenames (like the tpl) the linkname even i can find myself. i let you know when my site's crashed.
... i bet though, it will work.
