I know I should be posting this in the Firefox forums, but i'm having a hard time finding help there.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Yes. I can't paste into the textarea. It's some sort of Javascript security dealio, I believe. Saw it before when using Mozilla.

This is the screen it sends me to. I've followed the instructions but to no avail.

i had the same problems and ultimately just gave up on it. i also noticed there are some problems with some of the different functionality aspects like the adding links. for some reason it just doesn't work in firefox. the pop-up comes up, but then i can't type anything in.

Odd., I use Firefox v.0.9.2 and everything works fine for me.

So you're able to cut and paste into the text boxes using Firefox?
You don't see this?
"Unprivledged scripts cannot access cut/copy/paste programatically for security reasons. Click OK to see a technical note at Mozilla.org which shows you how to allow a script to access the clip board"
the link is this

The odd thing is that I can cut and paste into this window using firefox, but not in serendipity.

OMG!!! I have this same problem and it really really made me pissed, i even f00ked up some *.js files because the first helptopic says create a user.js file, the other helpdesk said edit the prefs.js file...blahblahblah..now i must reinstall Firefox i think because stuff looks realy odd here!
Anyway, hope someone can come up with a solution.. i can paste anywhere except in Serendipity......
Thnx bb!

Yeah it's sad to say this, but all other rich text editors are working for me too.
Any advice guys?

I have mailed the author of htmlarea (our richtext editor) and asked him, if that can be improved. Let's hope for a positive reply.

I just upgraded Serendipity 0.8 to latest CVS version of htmlarea, and finally Mozilla Copy+Paste seems to work!
So the authors of htmlarea seem to have done their homework
