I killed it

This is on a brand new fresh install. Just starting to get things set up. I installed Sparticus and that seemed to work just fine. Then I went to theme settings and of course saw several more themes from which to choose. So I chose one of the new ones, and got a page full of error messages however at the bottom it said my new theme was (the theme I had chosen). Then I clicked on the link to return to the weblog and now I'm getting 500 Internal Server Error. I get that message if I try to go to the admin area or the front side of the blog.

I've checked the permissions of serendipity_config_local.inc.php, and they were originally set to 700, however I changed them to 777. I can open the file in Dreamweaver, so it doesn't appear that I have a permissions issue on that file, of course I accept I could be wrong on that. Right now I am at a loss. Any ideas?

Hi!

It seems downloading and switching to the new template failed, and now s9y cannot load any template-specific options.

If you have SQL access (like with phpmYadmin), could you check the serendipity_config DB table and look for the column with name="template". Switch that option to the value "default" so that s9y will load the default stylsheet again?
