Can you explain simply how I can fix this, I have no idea.. The blog cannot be accessed, just this message comes up.

Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "" in /home2/artist9/public_html/site2/serendipity/bundled-libs/Smarty/libs/Smarty.class.php on line 1088

Any help appreciated.

This usually means that either the "templates_c" directory in the s9y root does not exist or is not writable.

i've got the same error message but in local...
i'm using WAMPserver, i've imported everything that was online in the wamp root dir, i've changed the serendipity_config_local.inc.php with the local infos.
My direrctories was on "read only", i've changed it...
the templates_c is there...

don't know what to do...

Did you make sure you followed the FAQ about moving installations? Did you change your serendipiptyPath configuration?

Is the template_c directory writeable by Serendipity? Try mode 0777, unless your webserver prevents that, in which case try 0775.

i finally got it... don't know really how... but it works almost well µ
