Search in Multilanguage Blog

If i have entries in additional languages and try to search for terms not in the default language the search function always report that no result can be found.

It seems that the additional tables of an blogentry will be not searched

That is right. We have a feature request filed for this: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.p ... tid=542825

Any coding help would be much appreciated! I definitely agree that this feature needs to be implemented, also the search of static pages.

Garvin

Thanks again for the quick modification

I have made the changes. Spartacus reports however the older versions, but the downloadfiles are the new ones

I´ve installed the new versions and modified the function_entries.inc.php, works fine now.

I have to check the static pages a little bit more, because i didn´t used them yet.

This is a excellent example, how support works in the open source community. Many so called "professional support" is far, far behind that.

Once more, thanks for the great software.

Best regards

I'm very glad to hear that! Yes, Spartacus had some synchronization problems this week (my machine which does the updates ran out of memory), but it should work now.

Hope it all works out for you well and you'll have fun with Serendipity! :)

Garvin

Garvin I would love to implement this on my own site, but its still at 0.91. I am reluctant to upgrade until a stable version one has been released. Do you have any thoughts on which versions/files to upgrade so stability of my blog isn't compromised?

Hi Carl!

You can easily migrate this patch by just applying the differences that are mentioned in the blog entry link to BerliOS SVN repository. It's a 2 or 3 line change only.

Garvin
