FCKeditor & server media

Under the default WYSIWYG editor, clicking "add image" allows you to choose from the media you've previously uploaded in "add media". FCKeditor can't seem to find these images when I click "browse server". I just followed the default install for FCKeditor, do I need to tell it where the images are stored (/uploads/)?
Or am I just using the wrong button to add images in FCKeditor?
