Editing from two locatons

Aloha,

I'm very new here and have a funny question. I've set up a blog, and want to edit from my home omputer and my work computer.

For now, I have no problems from home (everything you see is done there), but today I wantd to add something from work. I opened up the control panel, created a new entry, and when I try to type, nothing (not even a curser) is in the text window?

Even stranger, I added a table and tried to input data into the table frame, but the curser "jumped" out of the box and my text was going in slightly indented and under the empty frame?

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Colin

btw, my blog is here: http://satoauto.com/cblog/

I assume you're using the WYSIWYG editor. Are you using a different browser (or even a different version) at work than at home? Do you get the same problem with the text-only editor?

Yes, I'm using WYSIWYG but I didn't notice any difference if I entered the text mode (althought I might not have tried)

As for the browser question, this is entirely possible! I just had the computer at work "wiped" and I had to reinstall Firefox. I believe the version I'm using at work is newer.

Should I update the version at home, or "backdate" the version at work (version 1.5.0.1)?

The WYSIWYG text mode will probably still have the same trouble. The WYSIWYG editor is known to be only partially compatible with FireFox/Mozilla, anyway. Try the same thing from (I can't believe I'm saying this) Internet Exploder.

Also try switching off WYSIWYG from your admin page. If that works, we've found the problem.

I just tried today with Firefox 1.5.0.1 and it works flawlessly...

I'd update my home browser anyway.

Maybe it's time to remove that "partially compatible" thing from the descriptions.

Thaks for the replies. I was able to edit ok from IE at work. Ironically, I've done most of the work from my home machine running Firefox 1.0.7! I found something a little 'quirky' but ot unusable. It almost makes me afraid to upgrade my brwoser..... Thanks agian
