Googlemaps

Has anyone written a script to generate a Googlemap, which would allow blogs to be indexed by google?
Do you have technical details?

It's just XML
You get an account and it's easy to set up. I think it'd help a lot to be able tpo generate these and I know it can be done easily from the mysql tables. I just don't have time to do it myself.
I may have said plugin, but really a simple php script would be even easier.

I thought you were talking about Google Maps, which is a gregraphical thing.
Sitemaps is an alltogether different thing, and a serendipity_event_google_sitemap plugin already exists since a couple of months.

you're right, I confused the name - it's google sitemaps, not googlemaps.
